About Pam
Growing up in Wyoming, Ohio, Pam had kitties constantly, and her Dad, an avid hunter, always had Beagles and/or English setters around. In addition, the family owned a pony, and then a horse, so of course, she learned to ride and respect the equine species. Over the years, she also became an avid bird watcher and loves all things “birdy”, too. Pam’s love for animals has grown even stronger the past few years and she finally decided to turn that passion into a profession.
Pam has lived in the Las Vegas Valley since 1984, and was an entertainer/singer/musician for many of those years and then a Mortgage Professional for ten years. (For those of you are concerned about security, Pam had to undergo an FBI background check to become, and remain, a loan officer.) A couple of years ago, friends of Pam called on her to help part time with their pet sitting company when they were extremely busy. Realizing the happiness and peace it brought into her life, she decided to get licensed, bonded, and insured with her own company, A Purrfurred Pet Care Service, in October of 2009.
Besides giving your pets lots of love and attention, plenty of play time, medication dispensing, and the usual feeding and scooping ‘da’ poop during each visit, Pam also offers Dog Walking, Pet Taxi to/from the Vet or Groomer, Pet Supplies Pickup, Animal Reiki Energy Healing sessions, (Young Living) Essential Oils education & suggested uses for your pets, and is a wholesale distributor for Premier Pet Products, home of the Gentle Leader and Easy Walk Harnesses.
Pam is a supporter of the Best Friends Animal Society, the Heaven Can Wait Society, Homeward Bound, and the Nevada SPCA. She also occasionally fosters puppies and kittens when needing adoption.
Kodak, a long haired orange tabby, has owned Pam and her roomie for 19years now. Maggie, a petite Maine Coon, has owned them for 7 years now, and the two sibling gray domestic (one long haired and one short haired) “kittens” were born in the back yard to a feral cat (Mama Kitty, which still hangs around out there) back in June or July of 2008. Two foster kittens were recently rescued (September 2010) and have moved in until a forever home is found.
